About Silverdale Active

Silverdale Active was created by Laura, a local and lifelong lover of movement with over 26 years of experience in fitness and sport.

Laura grew up as a competitive county-level gymnast and cross-country runner, developing a strong foundation in strength, endurance and discipline from a young age. Over the years, this evolved into a genuine passion for movement in all its forms, from regular gym training and hiking to exploring ways of staying active that feel sustainable and enjoyable.

Now a fully qualified personal trainer and fitness instructor, Laura brings together her sporting background, professional training and real-world experience to create sessions that are effective, inclusive and welcoming. Her approach focuses on helping people feel confident in their bodies, move well for everyday life, and enjoy being active rather than feeling pressured or intimidated.

Silverdale Active is about more than just exercise. It’s about building a positive local community around movement, supporting people at all stages of their fitness journey, and making the most of the incredible surroundings we’re lucky enough to live in.
